"Melty Flowers" Tutorial

*****It's so easy, even a caveman can do it*****

Happy Friday all!! Tonight I have a tutorial to share with you. It is a more in-depth "melty flower" demonstration. They are just so gosh darn cheap to make!!!!

Please bare with me as my photos are not very clear as it is gloomy, gloomy, gloomy out!!

Step 1 - 3 (click on collage to make larger)
Step 1 - I used four mini silk flowers. MUST have acrylic/nylon in them!
Step 2 - use an old brad to keep together. A nice pearly one will melt (I learnt from experience LOL)
Step 3 - hold down flowers from moving. I use a paint brush end. Plus you don't want to burn your lil fingers!

Step 3 - 6 (click on collage to make larger)
Step 3 - blow the heat gun towards the centre of the flower
Step 4 - squish the flower after heated while it is still warm. Gives it more "oomph"
Step 5 - finished heated flower

Step 7 - 8 (click on collage to make larger)
Step 7 - pull the flowers apart. Makes them a bit fluffier as they can stick together
Step 8 - use a decorative brad to put it all together. Viola! Finished!

The end result:

I am so excited to share this with you! My flowers are SO cheap to make, they are from a mini flower lie from the dollar store. But also, they are pretty simple to make too!!!

I also just got my new Nestabilities Labels Eight in the mail today and just had to use them!!!

Card Ingredients: Bazzill and Recollection cardstock; Nestabilities Labels; Stampendous! stamp; Stampin' Up! Purely Pomegranate ink; dollar store flowers; Recollections pearl brads and gems.

Well what was supposed to be a couple of hours turned into an all night project - I am going to bed!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have made my tutorial user friendly :)

An outstanding share! I've just forwarded this onto a colleague who was doing a little homework on this. And he actually ordered me dinner simply because I found it for him... lol. So allow me to reword this.... Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending the time to talk about this issue here on your web site.
