October RC Blog Hop:

Good morning all - it's the eighth of the month, which means it's Reverse Confetti's OCTOBER creative blog hop!

Today we are celebrating anything goes!

I had the flu this weekend but still managed to create this sweet little hippo card. I was pretty impressed with myself LOL

When thinking of a layout for my card, (and knowing I want to do a blended shape), I always start with the shape and colours first. In this case Patterned Hearts Confetti Cuts and Grape Soda and Wine inks.

Next I figure out where I want to place the shape on my card and then I did a bit more ink blending in Grape Soda on the background paper with a few spritzes of Grape Soda ink too. Once that is all dry, I add my sentiment, in this case, Sentimentally Yours.

Lastly I added this happy hippo from Hippo Pool Party (with coordinating Confetti Cuts.

September RC New Release Party:

That's right! Everything myself and my teamies have been posting over the last three days is available now at the Reverse Confetti Shop!

For my last new release project I really wanted to think outside the box and push my creativity.

I had my *Ace Ventura* moment when looking around my mess of a craft table I saw a piece of scrap paper sitting on the Rounded Stitched Window Confetti Cut. Immediately I saw half a heart and new I could make a full heart by using two windows! And much to my amazement, it worked!!!
(And if you remember, the scene was Ace looking at newspapers that were all over his floors with his dog sitting on one particular paper which gave the illusion of the dog's butt hair creating a man's photo into a women. Broke the case wide open LOL)

So, a super duper easy card to make. I used this classy piece of This and That paper and used the Stitched Windows to cut out my heart.

Lastly I added this beautiful sentiment from Joys of the Season and coloured the holly from the same set. Bingo bango - done!

Joys of the Season:

I creating my night sky by blending Navy, Island Blue, and Wine inks, then ink splattering Navy ink back over for a little more depth.

I heat embossed the sentiment from Joys of the Season in white and added a fun little cozy winter town using the spooky houses from the Halloween Gnomes Confetti Cuts set.
