Good morning all!  It's hard to believe that February is just about done.  It was our coldest February on record in the past 20 years and I am happy to see it go!

I suppose with it being absolutely freezing outside, it gives me more chances to hang out in my warm and cozy craft room :)

For my card today, I actually had to go routing through my Christmas tree stash to find the perfect embellishment for this card - the snowflake!!!

Stamps: Little Yellow Bicycle Words
Inks: Memento Teal Zeal
Papers:  Doodlebug Home for the Holidays

Don't forget to proofread when building a sentiment!

Yep, that is my tip for all of you.  I used JustRite Just the Right Words and stamped a lovely sentiment for a really awesome person.  Unfortunately I did not take my own advice and when finished assembling my card, this is what I noticed:

*I can tell you with certainty that I wasn't very pleased with myself*

Not only did I work on this card for the better part of the afternoon, but my husband wanted to see it (twice) as it is for him to give.  Neither of us even noticed :(

I couldn't take it apart and restamp so I had to add a little "you" stamp.
Awkward looking - oh so sad :(

I don't want to tell you how long this card took me to make.  Yikers, it's a good thing it was a long weekend here, because seriously this was an all day card.

I dusted off my Prismacolor pencils, stamped my roses and did some colouring, which I do believe has been months!  Going from a couple of times per week to a couple of months in between, I was feeling a little rusty but in the end I am happy I took the time today to create this card.

Happy Sunday!  I set some time aside this week for crafting, unfortunately my shoulders/neck have been giving me grief again.  On a good note, it's been almost a year since I have had shoulder problems so I suppose I shouldn't complain ;)  On a bad note, I missed playing along with some of my favourite challenges.

But on another good note, I was able to make another background stamped card for JustRite.  I had a blast creating this card!!!  I made my own background stamp by using smaller JustRite stamps and finished it off by heat embossing.  I then added some layers, ink distressed the edges, and finished it all off my using punches and custom dies.
