Save your boobies

Good Evening all!! Hope Thursday has treated you all fabulously! We had our first snow fall today. It got pretty nasty out on the roads - there were quite a few accidents and many police/ambulance out today. Traffic was a nightmare. Hope everyone got home safely.

Countdown to Thanksgiving Weekend: 1 more day!

Here is a little history on Canadian Thanksgiving:

In Canada, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday in October. The origin and history of Thanksgiving Day in Canada is different from the American Thanksgiving. Whereas the American tradition talks about remembering Pilgrims and settling in the New World, Canadians give thanks for a successful harvest. The geographical location of Canada is further north as compared to the United States therefore the harvest season falls earlier in Canada
.

Canada's top professional football league, the
Canadian Football League, holds a nationally televised doubleheader known as the "Thanksgiving Day Classic".

We happened to find tickets to the Saskatchewan Roughrider football game - we are sooooo excited to cheer on our team! GO ROUGHRIDERS!

Challenge for tonight: Candy Shoppe Designs is up with a "THINK PINK Challenge" in lieu of Breast Cancer Month. I couldn't pass up this challenge as pink is my favorite color.

The GORGEOUS Blog Candy this week is sponsored by Tessa at Precocious Paper. Tessa makes beautiful embellishments and paper goodies that are out of this world!

I made an altered item this week. It is an old chocolate candy tin.

Aren't pink pompoms to DIE for?

Ingredients:
K&Co Classic K paper; K&Co gold border embellishment; pompom fringe by the meter at Michaels; pink ribbon is leftovers from my wedding :)

Happy Thursday!! I might be back tomorrow - it just depends on when we leave for the weekend! If not, I will have a scheduled post for Sunday evening.

What a fantastic idea you had Deanne, decorating the tin, and I love the pom pom trim. That brings back childhood memories. You make beautiful bows. Bundle up for the game! Go Riders, go! Have a safe and enjoyable trip, and please say "Hi" to Mark for me. Thanks. Happy Thanksgiving Day long weekend to you and Derek! XOXO's
