Drop the needle.

Good Morning!! Half way through the work week - yippeeee!

Today I am participating in the Corrosive Blog Challenge. This week the challenge is to create a child's birthday card. I immediately thought of pink, flowers, hearts and butterflies!

This is what I came up with. I know you all are probably sick of seeing the same flowers all the time, but seriously, when you have a small budget, you do what you can :) I did use my Cuttlebug to emboss them though - that is new :)

And now I feel like an idiot - I kind of got the feeling it was a stamping challenge but no where did it say that only stamping is acceptable. I just noticed on Janet's signature "Happy Stamping". Pooey - now I can't play with this card!

Details:

Card Ingredients: K&Co Carolyn Gavin paper; Bazzill cardstock; K&Co butterfly embellishment; Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder.

Happy Wednesday!! Hope you all are enjoying your week so far :)

Deanne! What a great card. I love the flowers and the butterflies AND the EMBOSSING! Great job. Love the colors and the layout too. I'm not so sure about not being able to use it for the challenge...maybe "happy stampin"
is just a general comment and not meant to say you HAVE to stamp something on your card! :)

Your card is fantastic! And if you hadn't mentioned the flowers, I honestly wouldn't have noticed! You use them in lots of fun ways! I would check with the challenge hostess and ask if it is okay that it doesn't have any stamping! It is a great card!

How cute is this card!!! I love it!! I love this line of paper.....could you stamp "happy" on the ribbon?? Just a thought...it's kind of fun to stamp on ribbon if you haven't done it before! Adorable!
