Whoomp, there it is.
Good Monday afternoon to you all. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We went to the movies on Friday and played Monopoly on Saturday. Pretty lame by some standards, but that's me: LAME-O :)
Let's get down to business: The lovely ladies over at Get Sketchy are up with a new challenge.
The bonus challenge this week is to make your own embellishment -- got it!!
GS #5:
I went out of my comfort zone and went wild and crazy with this card. Does it make sense at all?? Not sure it would even fit in an envelope :S I don't know if I kind of like this card or if I kind of hate it :S
My own embellishment (used my Cricut and Cuttlebug) - complete with a gem face and wire feelers (is that what they are called??):
Card Ingredients: Bazzill and K&Co paper; K&Co border punches and wires; me and my BIG ideas gems; Butterfly font; recycled ribbon and silk leaves.

2RedBananas is up with Banana Split Sunday. Here is their sketch this week:
And mine:
A bow AND a button - this can't be!! :D
I tried to give the basket a stitched feel - wasn't quite what I wanted.
Card Ingredients: Recollections cardstock, Autumn paper, and embellishment; hemp twine.
Happy Monday!!!
Happy Monday!!!

Thanks for playing with us at GET SKETCHY!
I always think of my mom when I see butterflies, and you did a spectacular job of that card, with all the layers.
Fabulously Fantastic !!!!!

lol
I love BOTH of your cards. I do know what you mean about stepping out of your comfort zone and not really sure if you like it. I'm kinda doing that with my layouts right now. I used to could NEVER have blank spaces (still strugglings) but I'm trying. And I'm actually liking them now.
So, keep stepping out, and you might just learn to like more styles. :)
Like I said though. I love them both!!
Hugs,
Hollie
thnx for playing!
