Baby Pink Jake:

Oh what a night - my little Pixie Chihuahua had an allergic reaction to her vaccines yesterday.  Poor little thing, even allergy medication could hardly help the hives that were all over her :(  But she is doing much better today, almost back to her normal self.

So this year, my crafting New Year's resolution was to try more techniques.  This year I would really like to focus on shabby cards and try to get a good feel for them.

I started with Teddy Jake, dressed him up in pink, and turned him into a Christmas baby card.  I think he works well, don't you?

In the end I had so much stuff on my card that I had no room for my sentiment -going to have to find a bigger envelope :)

Card Ingredients:  StampFairy digi, Samantha Walker, Echo Park, and MME papers, Recollections cardstock, Prismacolor pencils, Celebrate It pom poms, Stampendous! Pink glitter, Recollections pearls, Prima flowers.  Tools:  mineral spirits and blending stumps, sewing machine, Making Memories edge ripper, Die-namics Fancy Flourish diecut.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Christmas Challenge w Sketches (do not display sketch), Simon Says - paper piecing, Shabby Tea Room - inspiration photo + flowers + stripes, Ribbon Girls - pink and ivory, Paper Crafting - girly.

AND...  please meet StampFairy's newest member, Barry Diet

With that said, have a wonderful weekend - hug those that mean the most to you.

I'm so sorry to hear that Pixie suffered so much after the vaccines. It must have been a restless night for both of you. I hope Pixie is better soon, and that you all have a good weekend. XOXO's
