Merry Monday 269:

Happy Monday!  Christmas is now on the horizon.  I have all my gifts purchased and started wrapping this weekend.  I still feel like I have lots to do, but am one step closer to the finish line =)

This week at Merry Monday, Debbie would like us to use three of the colours in the inspiration photo:

The colour combinations are endless!  I went with the lime green, navy, and hot pink.  Anything non-traditional are my favourite colours to use =)

The diamonds were not placed exactly where I was first thinking, but I accidentally dropped the green diamond full of glue.  So there is was, no going back!  Haha - perfect!!!  Speaking of these diamonds, is it just me or do I use my stash for the first time only to find out it's retired?  This happens more then I would like to admit!

December RC Blog Hop:

Good morning all - it's the eighth of the month, which means it's Reverse Confetti's DECEMBER blog hop!

It's hard to believe that in just a few short weeks Christmas will be here.

It is my most favourite time of the year.

For my card today, I created a fun card that brings together winter and how cool my friends are =)

I started with doing a simple mask of the snow friends in Midnight Ink.  I kept the buddies really simple with no colour but added some fun little paper pieced hats.

I added lots of layers.  LOTS!  Layers make me happy =)

Lastly I added a bit of Charcoal twine.

Today I also get to be a part of Reverse Confetti's Inspiration Station which is exclusive to email only.  Are you on the newsletter list??  You can find details on the main blog.  All you have to do is look for the sign up button on the right hand side!

Merry Monday 268:

Happy Monday!  We are one week closer to Christmas!!  Only THREE more weeks - sqqqqquuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

This week at Merry Monday, I would like you to put a SANTA HAT on your Christmas card:

Now it doesn't need to be Santa himself, the hat is fine.  I honestly don't much care for Santa, but this little pup dressed up as Santa totally made my day!  I am a dog person, not a Santa person LOL.

I also learnt in England they call Santa Father Christmas and he wears green instead of red.  So that is what inspired my card today!

I basically kept this card pretty simple and the idea came to me pretty quickly (which is usually the opposite), so all in all it was a breeze to create =)

Stamps:  Reverse Confetti Christmas Bear

Extras:  Tim Holtz Dot Fade stencil, Stampin' Up! cardstock, Reverse Confetti Midnight Ink

The Paper Players 373:

Good Sunday morning to you!  Has anyone else wondered where the year has went.  I can't believe we are into December already!

This week at The Paper Players, Laurie's THEME challenge is CHRISTMAS BAKING:

Fact: my least favourite room in the house is the kitchen.  I dislike cooking.  A lot.  But I do roll up the sleeves once a year to do some Christmas baking.  Because I love Christmas.  Every year I make Skor (toffee) shortbread, macadamia nut and white chocolate cookies, and bite size pecan tarts.  It's nothing elaborate but it's the only time I am proud of my kitchen skills =)

One of my new favourite sets is a kitchen/baking stamp set (go figure!) from Reverse Confetti.  I love the small little kitchen tools that can easily be placed on a card just about any where!

Stamps:  Reverse Confetti Kitchen LoveReverse Confetti Sweet Holiday
Die cuts:  Reverse Confetti Kitchen Love, My Favorite Things Blueprints 2
Extras:  Reverse Confetti Midnight Ink, Carta Bella Have A Merry Christmas pattern paper

Happy December 1st!!  My absolute favourite month!!

Since it is the first of the month, I have the honour of showing you Reverse Confetti's DECEMBER Sketch For You To Try!!

Now I know what you are thinking, no Christmas cards??  Well believe it or not, I am all caught up on my Christmas cards.  I needed 80 and I made 80 :D

I do not like being in the kitchen.  I literally bake once  a year and that is at Christmas.  BUT there something very adorable about this KITCHEN LOVE set.  It is just so fun to create with!!!

Be sure to come play along with this FABulous sketch.  If you are picked as the 'Fetti Fave, you will receive a $20 gift certificate (uhm, yes please!) to use at Reverse Confetti!
