Donny Bee Tea:

Oh long weekends - how I love thee!  If you are enjoying Family Day like me, then you have been relaxing and puttering around the house.  Yesterday I barely got off the couch - wowzers!  Something a bit different for me, as I usually like to be doing something.  But I enjoyed it nonetheless.

It's back to work tomorrow, but it's always nice to go back to a short work week.

StampFairy is sponsoring The Shabby Tea Room's photo inspiration (plus a doily) challenge:

I brought out my new Prismacolor pencils and tried a bit of shading on Donny Bee:

Monika Love:

Good morning friends.  I hope the week has been treating you all well.  I have been busy between work, pets, appointments...  I am really looking forward to the weekend!

Today I am sharing a House Mouse card with you.  Unfortunately, I only have one House Mouse stamp right now, so you may be seeing this lil lady more than once ;)  Also, this is my first time coloring an ink stamped image, I was a little nervous as I thought the ink might run, but it didn't LOL.

And did you know that Valentine's is right around the corner and I own practically nothing with hearts??  Apparently hearts don't interest me :S  But look closely, the gems are little hearts.

So with all that babbling here is my card, featuring Monika Dozes.  And when in doubt throw flowers on your card :)
Card Ingredients:  House-Mouse Monika stamp;  CraftSmart Back, Gold, and Chocolate Brown inks;  Copics (E000, E00, E13, E33, R81, R83, R85, R9, N01);  BasicGrey Little Black Dress papers;  Labels 4 Nesties;  Kaiser Crafts and My Mind's Eye brads;  recycled flowers;  Recollections heart gems.  Tools:  sewing machine,  edge distresser.

Peony Birthday:

Good morning February.  It is such a beautiful day out this morning - so mild with no wind. Completely unheard of for mid-Canada!

This is my 2nd attempt at a card sketch.  My first card is still sitting beside me, looking all wrong, hideous really.  I *might* be a bit hard on myself but I am so happy that I tried the sketch again from scratch.  The old card has potential, I just still need to perform that card surgery I was talking about on Monday :)

This is my first attempt at emboss resist.  It didn't turn out quite how I expected, but in the end I think it gives a nice shabby/vintage feel.  I prefer pearls over gems!

Card Ingredients:  Waltzing Mouse and Stampendous! stamps;  Stampin' Up Purely Pomegranate and CraftSmart Chocolate Brown, Gold, Fuchsia, and Lavender inks;  Martha Stewart Clear embossing ink;  Stampendous! Kaleidoscope embossing powder;  K&Co Brenda Walton paper;  Bazzill and Recollections cardstock;  recycled silk flowers;  Kaiser Crafts and My Mind's Eye pearl brads;  Recollections pearls.  Tools:  sewing machine.

I made this birthday card for the following challenges:  Stamptacular Sunday - use gems or pearls; Cupcake Crafts - recycled (old wedding flowers);  Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge - sketch #82:

Have a wonderful Tuesday!  Thanks for visiting!!

Butterfly Hugs:

Good morning all.  I hope you had a great weekend, they always seem to fly by so fast in a blink of an eye.

I was able to spend some time in the craft room.  One card turned out fine and the other I am starring at and can't figure out what went wrong.  I think I over cluttered it and I need to do some surgery on the silly thing:)

Needless to say, I will only be sharing the one card with you today:
Card Ingredients:  Stamper's Anonymous butterfly stamp;  CraftSmart Black ink;  Echo Park Times & Seasons papers;  Bazzill cardstock;  Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder;  Vanilla Smooch Spritz;  BasicGrey wood button;  Doodlebug bakers twine;  Recollections gems.  Tools:  sewing machine.

I made this butterfly card for the following challenges:  Stampin' Sisters in Christ - who I really am (my new style);  Sentimental Sundays - dry embossing with sentiment;  Chocolate, Cards & Coffee - thinking of you/missing you;  Sweet Sunday Sketch - sketch #151

Well that is it for another Monday - the last Monday of January!  What a month - it has been good in so many ways!  Hopefully February will be much the same :)

Big Bow Birthday:

Good morning Friday!!!!  May I say, thank GOODNESS for Fridays.  I just love the weekends so much!  Tomorrow I am off to find some new glasses, apparently I have double vision and I can't wait to "fix" the problem.  Crafting will be so much easier.  Right now I am peering over my old glasses and hurting my neck a lot.  I am positive that I will be crafting for hours on end now ;)

Today I am sharing another vintage card with you all.  I can't believe how long it takes to master inking.  It's taken me months! (not saying I am a master by any means)...

*Ugh*...  I obviously just got up... I am doing that babble thing again...

I made this birthday card for the following challenges:  BasicGrey - something new with BasicGrey (see above for ingredients - they are all new!);  DYSU - pattern paper;  PaperPlay - ribbon every which way;  The Play Date Cafe - use slate, moss, bark, and burlap;  Waltzing Mouse Sketch - use sketch 80.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend!
