If I close my eyes and wish real big, do you think I could make it Saturday again??   ...Tried, and it didn't work :(

Big Bow Birthday:

Good morning Friday!!!!  May I say, thank GOODNESS for Fridays.  I just love the weekends so much!  Tomorrow I am off to find some new glasses, apparently I have double vision and I can't wait to "fix" the problem.  Crafting will be so much easier.  Right now I am peering over my old glasses and hurting my neck a lot.  I am positive that I will be crafting for hours on end now ;)

Today I am sharing another vintage card with you all.  I can't believe how long it takes to master inking.  It's taken me months! (not saying I am a master by any means)...

*Ugh*...  I obviously just got up... I am doing that babble thing again...

Card Ingredients:  Waltzing Mouse sentiment;  Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap and CraftSmart Gold and Chocolate inks;  BasicGrey Little Black Dress and Tim Holtz Crowded Attic papers;  DCWV cardstock;  BasicGrey chipboard flower;  Labels 4 and 18 Nesties;  Celebrate It ribbon;  Martha Stewart baker's twine;  Martha Stewart Monarch butterfly punch;  Recollections pearls;  vintage button.  Tools:  sewing machine.

I made this birthday card for the following challenges:  BasicGrey - something new with BasicGrey (see above for ingredients - they are all new!);  DYSU - pattern paper;  PaperPlay - ribbon every which way;  The Play Date Cafe - use slate, moss, bark, and burlap;  Waltzing Mouse Sketch - use sketch 80.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Flamenco:

Well we certainly have been in a cold spell, though I shouldn't complain as we have had the 2nd warmest winter on record.  BUT... right now it's a bit chilly out.  Weather Canada says it feels like -48 C (-54.4 F) with the windchill but we shall survive. Nothing a good winter jacket can't fix, right?!

So really that is all that's exciting in my life:  the weather :)

I have created a no-nonsense, no-cutie pie masculine card again.  I love making these as they are quite the challenge.  Since I feel I am getting the hang of things, I need to go buy some more masculine stamp sets.

I have been working a lot on ink distressing:

Card Ingredients:  Stampendous! The Great Outdoors stamp;  CraftSmart Teal, Gold, and Chocolate inks;  My Mind's Eye Kraft Funday Everyday Fun and K&Co BW Flora and Fauna Ledger papers;  Recollections cardstock;  Oval Nestie;  We R Memory Keepers Blue Lagoon baker's twine;  Prima button.  Tools:  sewing machine.

I made this no-nonsense birthday card for the following challenges:  Tuesday Throwdown - neutral colors;   Party Time Tuesday - happy birthday;  Make My Monday - a scene of nature;  Sweet Sunday - sketch 150:

Thanks for coming to visit!!  See you all again tomorrow.
