Barry Loves Snow:

Good morning all - it's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!  Friday's really are the best don't you think??  And on top of that it is a long weekend here - Monday is Victoria Day here.  Plus I am off all next week, first vacation of the Summer!  We will be getting the yard ready for Summer and then going to a spa retreat for three days.  Life is good.

And since it's Friday, I was able to make another Christmas card.  I usually make rather colourful Christmas cards, this one not being an exception.  To me, Christmas is fun and cheerful - heck, my Christmas home/tree colours are lime green, hot pink, purple and teal :)

And it wouldn't be a "me" card without paper piecing.  I, of course, gave Barry a fun scarf and touque (known by the rest of the world as a winter hat?) and also gave him some wooden skis.
Card Ingredients:  StampFairy digi, MME papers, Bazzill Basics and Recollections cardstock, Prismacolor pencils, Recollections pearls.  Tools:  mineral spirits and blending stumps, sewing machine, Rectangle Nesties, Making Memories edge distresser.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Holly Jolly - first letter/first name: Deanne (dots (polka dots), distressing), Christmas Challenges w Sketches - sketch (do not display sketch), Sweet Stampin' Christmas - winter sports, Sparkles Christmas - favourite festive colours (anything non-traditional!)

Have a lovely long weekend if you live in most parts of Canada - cheers!!!

Designs stamp, Craftsmart Black ink, Recollections Lattice and Gingham papers, Recollections cardstock, Prismacolor pencils, Wild Orchard flowers, Celebrate It ribbon, Recollections pearls.  Tools:  mineral spirits and blending stumps, sewing machine, Circle Nesties, CC Designs Cloud cutters.

Life is Sew Good:

Good morning all!
This week's challenge at Papercraft Star is "pastels":

I am "sew" excited to share this card with you.  I knew I wanted to do a sewing-themed card for one of my favourite challenges, but didn't have any large embellishments that would go with this theme so...

I decided to make a dress, which I drew a "pattern" on cardstock, then traced it onto this beautiful iridescent rose paper.  The dress template took for ever as it took a couple of tries to get the right shape.  You should have seen my first attempt - yikers!  I figured I'd take this theme literally by making a dress pattern and whipping up my own little paper dress :)

I "mashed" two stamps together by masking off half of the secound stamp, as well as using ink and a toothpick to make a little coma between the two sentiments.   I added tiny buttons, stitching, stick pins, and seam binding tape for an overall sewing-themed card.

I like this card "sew" much (okay, I will stop) that I don't want to give it away!  Terrible, I know.

Card Ingredients:  JustRite It's Sew Vintage (Amazing Paper Graces) stamps, Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap ink, CraftSmart Chocolate and Gold inks, DCWC cardstock, KaiserCraft Magnolia Grove papers, Mayan Road metal hanger, Prima flower, Celebrate It ribbon, random seam binding tape, Dress It Up buttons, Wild Orchard stick pins.   Tools:  sewing machine, Lattice Pendant Shapeabilities, Oval and Labels 3 Nesties,

I made this card for the following challenges:  The Shabby Tea Room - spring, pink, green, cream/white, sewing element, JustRite Friday Challenge - Sew Good, Simon Says Stamp and Show - paper pads.

Sunshine:

Good morning all - happy Wednesday to you.

This week's challenge at Papercraft Star is "let the sun shine in" (include a sun):

Everything:

Good Monday morning all!  I have been Spring cleaning all weekend - every cupboard in the house is being cleaned out.  Unfortunately I didn't have nearly enough time to even get half done, I will just have to keep at it until it's all done.

I did make time for a super simple card, I found this little sign (which MME calls a "title") and glitter ribbon in my stash.  It came together in under 20 minutes!

Card Ingredients:  MME Everything title, DCWV cardstock, Celebrate It glitter ribbons, Recollections pearls.  Tools:  EK Success Corner punch.

I made this card for the following challenge:  CAS(E) this Sketch - sketch:

Well that is it for me today - keeping it nice and simple.  Have a wonderful day.  Cheers!

Beary Sweet Wishes:

Good morning all.  Hope you all are having beautiful Spring weather.  We have more snow and more cold weather, but Weather Canada is still forecasting gorgeous temperatures for the weekend - fingers crossed!

This week StampFairy is sponsoring Top Tip Tuesday's moving parts challenge.

I will admit I was stumped at first.  I was going to make a spinner card, but I tried that a few years ago and it wasn't my favourite card.  And as I always say, I love a challenge!  So I made a little pocket with a birthday message.
Sounds simple enough but I look me quite awhile to come up with a feasible idea, measure everything, and then finally get it all together.  It's a good things it's never a race, otherwise I would fail miserably :)

I used my sweet little friends, Barry Best Friends:

My little pop up message:

I am hoping I have time for another card that uses this image.  It would be perfect for a Mother's Day card, don't you think??

Card Ingredients:  StampFairy digi, Waltzing Mouse sentiment, MME papers, American Crafts and Recollections cardstock, Prismacolor pencils, Wild Orchard flowers, Craftsmart Chocolate and Gold inks, Tim Holtz Paper Bag distressing ink, Recollections gems, Inkadinkadoo! background stamp, Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, random buttons, American Crafts jute.  Tools:  mineral spirits and blending stumps, sewing machine, Labels 8, Oval, and Amazing Paper Graces Nesties.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Scrap-Creations - animals/insects, Cutie Pie and Tammy's Scrapin Corner - layers, Get Inky - flowers.

Good morning all.  Here we are at Wednesday again, the LAST Wednesday of April.  Wow, where does the time go?  And where the heck is Spring?  I would do anything to see a bloom pop up from the ground.

This week's challenge at Papercraft Star is an inspiration photo:
