Farewell Merry Monday:

Hello hello! I has been off and on raining this weekend so I spent most of it indoors crafting.

It was a bitter sweet moment making this card as this is our last challenge. I have been on the team for over four years. I remember being so excited that Lesley asked me to join the team.

It is amazing how time flies.

Our last challenge at Merry Monday, Nina has asked us to create a RUSTIC Christmas card:

Even though I am not a very "rustic" person, I had lots of fun going through my stash to create this card. I think I have had this pack of goodies for 5+ years and have never used it.

It was nice and simple to through together and I LOVE it!

Crabcakes:

Good morning all! I have been so busy outdoors that I have really been missing being in the craft room!

Today I created a fun crab card. I blended Dark Roast and Sand inks to create a sandy beach.

I added a few flicks of the inks to add more sandy depth.

Lastly I added some googly eyes to this absolutely adorable crab!!

I have created this card for the following challenge:

MM 295

I have been taken a small hiatus from card created and have been really focused on outdoor work. I have been staining and painted my butt off. My goal is to have all outdoor projects finished in the next few weeks with my upcoming hip replacement surgery. I still have about 3/4 of our back deck left. That is the last of my projects before my surgery and the summer.  I am looking so forward to getting it all done. Having a giant glass of wine, and waiting for my surgery :)

This week at Merry Monday, Marcia would like us to use the inspiration photo on our Christmas cards:

I saw the swirly Christmas candy right away and knew that was the theme I was going with :)
I had fun with the colours, and actually this card make my heart happy =)

June REVERSE CONFETTI Blog Hop:

Good morning all - it's the eighth of the month, which means it's Reverse Confetti's JUNE blog hop!

Today we are celebrating Summer Fun!

When I think of summer, I think of sunshine, bright colours, light-heartedness, with a little bit of cheeriness and FUN!!

I grabbed some fun paper, added some stitching with a cute little polka dot cup and voila! Fin,

Lastly I chose to make a true summer card. This is a bout as close as I like to get to the sun. I am very sensitive and hand out under a nice cool gazebo.

One of new (to me) technique is using post it notes to add ink. It is so much fun!
