Good afternoon ladies (and Derek) ;)

I will have to make this quick, as I finally bought paint to do our "powder room." I can't believe I have left it this long. Right now the walls are khaki green and all my accessories are green apple - doesn't really go too well together LOL. I am keeping the green apple because that is one of my new favorite colors and I have painting the wall "Sweetwood." Just a nice dark warm taupe :)

Our extended weekend was nice - it was great to get away even if it was just for a couple of days.

Now look at me - I am carrying on...

Hello, hello! Hope you all are enjoying your Tuesday. Hard to believe it is Wednesday again tomorrow!

Tonight's Challenges: 1. Sketch Girl is back up!! They took a short break but are back with a great sketch :)

2. Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge has a photo as inspiration. I took the mossy green and purples as the inspiration. Unfortunately, for some very odd reason, my camera does not like lilac purple. It would rather make it blue? Very, very odd, as me and my camera get along very well...

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you have been enjoying your weekend. We got hit with a doozy of a winter storm. It is a good thing we have an SUV because the car got stuck in our driveway :)

Makes for a good day to stay indoors and get some crafting done, right??

Cookies and Cake

Hello again! It is my favorite day of the week and winter has come back to Canada! We are supposed to get up to 25 cm of snow over the weekend which is much needed for so many reasons. Though Weather Canada says it will warm up again which means all the snow will melt again - such a shame.

I just wanted to post quickly here as I have a date a few hours to see Avatar.

Today's Challenges:

1. Pile It On - wants "at least 3 ribbons".

2. Charisma Cardz Challenge - "Fruity Colors"

3. EtsyInspired Challenge - use inspiration from Sweetie Pie Tutus. I love their little moto: "If our tutus were any sweeter, they would be made of sugar!" The brilliant colors and flowers is what I grabbed my inspiration from.

4. Unscripted Sketches has a new sketch. I must tell the ladies at US that I just ADORE their weekly challenges. There hasn't been one sketch where I thought to myself: yeah, can't do that one :)

I made this card for a birthday girl who is turning five. I wanted a very bright card with lots of elements that she should love :)

Another Year Older

Hi everyone! I feel like I am not being very productive lately. How can it possibly take me the longest time EVER for what should be the simplest card EVER? My card took almost 3 1/2 hours to make tonight :S

Sorry if you are getting tired of another Swiss Dot and cupcake card, but this isn't it - I have more to come later LOL... I can't help myself the folder and stamps are some of my favs!!
