Getting prepared

Okay, I think I have enough supplies to keep me going for a few weeks! I stopped at my two favorite places to do some scrapbook shopping: Michaels and my local dollar store.

lotsa paper - check!
lotsa alphas - check!
lotsa embellishments - check!
lotsa developed photos - check!

Checklist: COMPLETE!

These bags of flower embellishments and foam sticker alphas were only $1 each from the dollar store ($8 total)! The alphas are the closest thing I can find to "Thickers" around here.

I bought this Me & My Big Ideas: Black & White - Enjoy Life scrapbook kit for $11. It comes with:
12 12 x 12 paper,
a pack of Soft Spoken chipboard embellishments,
36 sparkly chipboard alphas,
17 black and clear stickers,
54 rhinestones,
6 die cut chipboard pieces
(can you tell I was reading the package??)

Prima Marketing Inc. Rock On Love 96 paper pack. With 48 glittery paper - I am in Heaven!! Bought at Michaels for $24. I also grabbed some cute travel embellishments too, for $1.

Well that is that! I am off for foot surgery Thursday. Tomorrow is mine and Derek's 3rd wedding anniversary. We are going out for a fancy-schmancy dinner so I won't have too much more time to be crafty before the "big day."

I will be taking a small hiatus from my daily doings and blogging. Hopefully, I will be able to at least scrapbook soon!!

Wish me luck! Hopefully, I will see you all in a week or so!

Happy Tuesday! Have a wonderful week!

Don't forget your Papa!

The one thing I have a REALLY hard time with = masculine cards...

I always seem to gravitate towards bright, PINK, and all things sparkly. Not really appropriate for Dear ol' Dad.

I did my best with what I had - grey, black, red, and olive (and some tuxes). I made two cards, one for my FIL and the other for my Grandpa.

Inside (thanks to my trusty laser printer):

Card Ingredients:

Bazzill Basics Paper in Red Rock and Safari
Creative Imaginations Star paper
Making Memories black and silver brads

Well, that is as manly as I get - hope it will do!

Happy Sunday! Hope the weekend treated you all well!

Flowers are finally growing!

Finally, we have some nice weather! All the trees are now in bloom, and last weekend I planted my annual flowers. These are my wave petunias that are only 1 1/2 weeks old - they have tripled in size already!!

And just my regular petunias, purple and pink:

Happy Thursday!!

Lucky me!

Thanks Diane for letting me make this card for you! I hope your friends enjoy it and their special day :D

Happy Wednesday!!

My new best friend

Ribbon! And not just any ribbon, but Sheer Creations ribbon. I need to buy more, in different colors. My bows always seem to come out perfect.

I had some extra time tonight to make some cards - it feels so good to be creative!

The black and white card is my favorite card I have made so far. Unfortunately I had black sparkles all over my work station, my pants, the other paper, and the envelopes.

Happy Monday! Another work week is here.
