Merry Monday 191:

Good morning all!  Happy Monday to you and I hope you had a great weekend.  I did all sorts of fun things this weekend:  vacuuming, washing floors, laundry...

This week at Merry Monday, Kristie would like to see a CHALKBOARD technique on our Christmas cards:

I will be honest, I have never tried the chalkboard technique before.  I know, I know, welcome to 2 years ago, right?  I was a little worried when I sat down to begin this card, but you know what??  A little chalk will do the trick.  I think other crafters use white ink to do the smudges, but I just bought a huge box of chalk that was looking to be used.  Problem solved.  I would definitely try this technique again =)

I built my layers with My Favorite Things Blueprints (20)(13) and added a fishtale flag from Blueprints(13).  I heat embossed a Hot Off the Press Christmas Cheer sentiment and smudged around some white chalk.  Lastly I added Paper Smooches Christmas Words 2 wise dies.

As always, do not forget to check out the rest of my teamies' fantastic creations at Merry Monday and come play along too!!!

Have a fantastic Monday - cheers all!

Glad I'm not the only chalkboard newbie! I like your chalked with chalk look. It is more realistic I think. Great gold holly leaves!
