Mixed Media Wedding:

Today I have a special post, the Papercraft Star team was asked to join A Mixed Media Color Challenge this week.  So very exciting!!

I do have to admit that I was quite terrified to play along as I have never dabbled in the mixed media arts.

I grabbed everything in my craft room (including home improvement supplies, really), sat down, and this is what I came up with:

I used joint compound that one would use to fill cracks and holes in walls.  I grabbed a stencil and a joint compound spatula and added some texture.  I also used acrylic paints, shimmer mists, and inks.

I was lucky enough to receive the Tropical Sensations stamps and dies collection (thanks again Mona!), which I used on the background paper and also for the flower embellishment.

Card Ingredients:
Stamps:  My Favorite Things Tropical Sensations, Waltzing Mouse sentiment, JustRite Signed Sealed Delivered and It's Sew Vintage (background stamps)
Inks: Craftsmart Gold, Craftsmart Chocolate Brown, Memento Rich Cocoa, Memento Desert Sand, Memento Potter's Clay
Papers:  House of Three

Cardstock: DCWV, Recollections
Bits/Bobs: Bead Landing metal flower, MME pearl brad, Celebrate It twine, Simon Says Stamp! Moroccan stencil, Simon Says Stamp! wooden hearts, Ranger Altered Orange acrylic paint, Lewiscraft Sandy Bay acrylic pain, Smooch Spritz, Orange Copic, joint compound
Tools: EK Success Corner punch, sewing machine, Die-namics Tropical Sensations dies

I created this card for the following challenges:  ABC Challenge - xtra special, The Cheerful Stamp Pad - use a stencil.
