Folksy Santa:

Good morning all!

This week's inspiration photo challenge at Papercraft Star is:

Suggested Inspiration:
Witch
Broom
Cat
Hat
Checks / Polka Dots

My Inspiration:  checks, polka dots, and folksy/country style

Now my card may not look too much like the Halloween inspiration, but I knew exactly what kind of card I wanted to make the minute I saw that inspiration photo.

FOLKSY/COUNTRY STYLE!

I can turn any inspiration photo into a Christmas card.  The great thing about Papercraft Star is it's what YOU see and interpret.
In fact I applaud Papercraft Star for not making me create a Halloween card.  Halloween cards would literally collect dust in a drawer until I toss them in the garbage :S

I had an old pack of Christmas cards that I had saved knowing that they would come in handy at some point.  And they did!  I fussy-cutted the sentiment and Santa's mustache:
Card Ingredients:
Stamp:  recycled card image
Papers:  MME

Cardstock: DCWV, Recollections
Bits/Bobs: Lawn Fawn Into the Woods sequins, American Crafts twine
Tools: Oval Nesties, sewing machine

I created this card for the following challenges:  Unscripted Sketches - sketch:

Don't forget to check out the rest of my teamie's super fantastic creations:

I nearly went the Christmas route myself. I thought the checks, stripes and polka dots were folksy too. What a darling card, Deanne ! Xoxoxo. -J-
