Dashing through the snow

Hello ladies - the weekend is almost over and I am squeezing in a weekend post. Where has the time been going? This week starts the Christmas parties - so hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner!

Tonight's Challenge: Design Dollies has a color challenge which I do believe ends tonight - nothing like squeezing in at the last moment! But I felt I wanted to be challenged and this was it - PURPLE! Me and purple do not get along - I would say it one of my least favorite colors. In the end, I have a purple, on purple, on purple card (for someone who doesn't like purple sure seems to have A LOT of paper). Not one of my favorite cards - maybe it's the purple ;)

Card Ingredients: Recollections Basics Purple Argyle and Pinstripe paper; Bazzill and Recollections cardstock; Inkadinkado and studio g stamps; Stampendous! PearLustre Garnet embossing powder; Cuttlebug Traffic Jam folder; random gems.

LOL I'm not much of a fan either of purple... only this summer did I actually buy a couple of purple shirts. Maybe I am liking it a little better?? Anyway, your card is gorgeous! You did an awesome job with the purple. Love the image!

I love the purple...it is one of my fave colors and I think it works wonderfully for winter layouts...maybe it's cuz our school colors are purple and white...dunno...but i likey!!!!

I think you did a remarkable job of this challenge. As you know I love purple, because everytime I see something in this color, I think of Julia. Perhaps sometime, you could try a silver or blue embossing powder, to see if you'd like that color combo. I saw a flyer photo of a Xmas tree decorated in purple, silver and blue, and it looked fab. Just a thought! You should be so proud of your creation. It's modern and trendy and purple-icious. Have a great week!!

I know exactly what you mean about purple - not one of my faves either but having said that this is just beautiful. Love all the layers - you must have a secret purple stash lol. Great image too!

Love that comment from your husband! I have made a card like that also where I didnt care for the color challenge. I think you did just fine. There will be many more that you will probably like better.

ohhhh you did an awesome job with this it works hon!! Love all the purple and the layers are perfect!I used to have a purple bedroom back in the late 70's.....loved it!
