Goodbye my friend

Check out my Christmas Blog Candy here!

Hello all! I am pretty tired so I am going to keep this short and simple. On top of being sleepy, I received my H1N1 vaccination today and my arm, shoulder, and neck are feeling not too great. Makes creating cards kind of crappy :)

Challenge for tonight: Unscripted Sketches has a great new sketch this week:

I worked on this darn card for over TWO hours tonight - though you would never know by looking at it. I am not quite happy with it...

In the above photo, the inking around the sentiment looks dirty, but it really isn't (see below)

This was my first time "shading" with ink, I wish you could see how shimmery the gold ink looks.

Card Ingredients: K&Co Classic K Roams and McKenna paper; studio g stamp; Craftsmart Gold ink; random pearls, button and twine.

Goodnight everyone! I won't be here tomorrow, but you can catch me back on Thursday. Have a great evening and Wednesday :)

Very pretty Deanne. I love the background papers and the accent pearls...very nice. The color combo is awesome too and I don't think any of it looks dirty! Great job as always!

I think the inking is fab, it is hard to take pictures of details sometimes. I love the background paper and how you blended everything. Thanks for playing along with Unscripted Sketches.

I SO hear you about the spending hours on a card! Sometimes we are our own worst critics. However it DOES show and your card is perfection. I Love the colors you used..everything works so well together. Thanks for being Unscripted and playing along with us this week.

Dear Deanne; How do you teach yourself all these techniques, and where do you learn about them? You're an expert at everything you do. I know that it was a rough week after your vaccination, so I'm glad that you're feeling better. Take care.
